SYDNEY'S STORY
Sydney Alexandra Robis was born at Mc Master Hospital on March 5th, 2000. She was the second daughter for George & Michele and a sister for seven year old Sumer.
It quickly became apparent as Sydney grew that she would be a very loving social little girl, always quick to hug. She enjoyed all activities at the Paramount Alliance Daycare Centre. Staff there tell about a little girl skipping in each day with a smile, so happy to see the other children and teachers. Singing and dancing came naturally to her and she was always first to join in.
One of her favourite outings was to go to Stoney Creek Dairy for ice cream. Her other passions were fishing and reading. She love to read so much that the Billy Green School has a plaque in the library donated in her memory.
Sydney idolized her sister Sumer and could never go to sleep if she thought someone was angry with her. Always checking with her Mom and Dad to make sure that all was forgiven.
She is remembered at her school as the girl who looked out for everyone, making sure that no one played alone. Here Mom and Dad thought that she would grow up to choose a profession that would enable her to help people, possibly as a social worker.
Her Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Godparents and family friends all told us the same story about a special little girl who gave her love unconditionally.
It is the responsibility of everyone to teach our children to be loving, helpful and kind. Sydney learned all these lessons quickly and instinctively and perhaps that is why she did not have to stay with us for long.
Sydney’s tournament is an annual golf tournament and a tribute to Sydney, so that she will continue to help and give to other children. This kind of legacy few people leave, even after living a whole lifetime.
Thank you Sydney. |
